Will this clear the “Crash Event Stored” message?
Yes. Our reset removes all crash event data at the EEPROM/memory level. Once reset, the SRS module will behave like a factory-new unit with no crash-related codes.
Do I need any programming after reinstalling the module?
No. Your original Volvo SRS module remains plug-and-play because your VIN, configuration, and coding stay intact. Simply reinstall the module and the SRS light will clear.
Which Volvo models do you support?
We support virtually all Volvo models from 1999–2021, including:
S40, S60, S70, S80, S90, V40, V50, V60, V70, V90, C30, C70, XC60, XC70, and XC90.
Which SRS module part numbers are supported?
We support Bosch, Autoliv, TRW, and Continental units commonly found in Volvo vehicles. This includes part numbers such as 0 285 001 673, 0285011903, 31341371, 30682988, 31268150, and many more. Even if your part number isn’t listed, it is almost always supported.
Will this fix seatbelt tensioner or airbag deployment codes?
Yes — if those codes are crash-related. Deployment codes tied to stored crash data are cleared during the reset.
Does this repair water-damaged or corroded modules?
No. Flood-damaged, corroded, or physically cracked modules cannot be reset. Contact us if you’re unsure.
Do you overwrite my Volvo’s VIN?
No. Your VIN and all coding remain unchanged. Only crash data is removed.
How long does the reset last?
Permanently. Crash data will not return unless the vehicle is involved in another collision.
Is this service safe for the SRS system?
Yes. We use professional automotive EEPROM tools and verify internal checksums so the module passes all internal self-tests on reinstallation.
Does this fix non-crash faults?
No. Hardware faults, failed sensors, open circuits, and communication issues require diagnosis and repair on the vehicle.
